The Level 3 Award in Introduction to Domestic Retrofit Funded Training has been developed to provide learners with a solid foundation in the retrofit process and the principles of energy efficiency in existing homes. This course offers an overview of PAS 2035 - the industry standard that sets out how to:
Assess dwellings for retrofit.
Identify improvement options.
Design and specify energy efficiency measures.
Deliver retrofits to a consistent, high standard.
In this funded training course, learners will explore:
Building physics: heat transfer, moisture movement, ventilation, and thermal comfort.
The impact of building materials and construction methods on energy performance.
How retrofit roles (including Retrofit Assessor, Designer, and Coordinator) fit into the wider process.
The use of assessment tools and software for accurate analysis and planning.

To support learners with work and personal commitments, this course is delivered during evenings and weekends. This course is particularly valuable for those working in, or aspiring to enter, the construction, housing, and sustainability sectors, where demand for retrofit skills is rapidly increasing.
To qualify for the level 3 Domestic Retrofit Assessment Programme, learners are required to:
Be aged 19+ years old.
Live in the Greater South East region (This includes the entire London area plus the counties of: Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Middlesex, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Hampshire, Surrey, Kent, East Sussex and West Sussex.)
